Ed Said is a children’s “edutainment” project I created, produced, and developed for Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) to help address Mississippi's childhood obesity crisis.

Ed is a boy who loves to learn about being healthy and is known around school for his love of raps and rhymes. This reputation has earned him the rap name, Ed Said.

 

In Season One you will find Ed Said on the school playground where he shares his health knowledge in form of a song with his playground friends, the Lunch Bunch. The Lunch Bunch will dance and exercise to Ed's jams.

In 2012, I left MPB having only completed Season One of Ed Said along with several healthy recipe animations with Chef Rob Stinson and a touring live show that performs for elementary schools across Mississippi.

 

Ed now lives on with a new production team going in a new direction, but he continues to perform his songs at elementary schools for the last 6 years to help entice kids to make healthier food choices.
